What happens if a customer doesn’t pay an add-on invoice?
The edit auto-reverses by the deadline you set. The order returns to its original state — nothing unpaid ships, and there’s nothing to chase. See reverse-unpaid edits.
Can customers change the country on an address?
No. They can correct an address within the same country, but country changes are blocked to keep taxes and duties safe. This is the same-country rule.
Does it work with my 3PL?
Yes. With ChannelDock, corrected addresses sync directly so the warehouse ships to the right place — see ChannelDock sync. With other 3PLs, address edits flow through the standard Shopify order update.
How long can customers edit?
You set the editing window (default 1 hour). About 95% of order changes happen in the first 30 minutes after checkout, so a short window usually covers real needs. See Settings.
Is it safe to turn on?
That’s the whole design. Editing windows, optional fulfillment holds, auto-reversal of unpaid edits, the same-country tax rule, and a discount-abuse guard mean you decide exactly what’s allowed. Start with one or two edits and expand as you get comfortable.
Will it refund to the original payment method?
You choose. Refunds can go to the original payment method or to store credit — set your preference in Settings.
Do customers need an account or password?
No. Customers reach their order through the link from their order confirmation or order-status page — no separate login to manage.
How is my data handled?
Mulligan stores the minimum needed to run and never stores payment-card data. See the Privacy Policy for specifics.
